    Paper Drive
The PTSA’s 7th annual Paper — and new this year, Printer Toner! — Drive is now underway through June 2. The school uses a minimum of 21 reams of paper per week and our shelves are nearly empty. What’s more, critical printers are running dry. Several of them have NO ink.

Budgets are frozen and there is no money to replenish our supplies for the remainder of the year.

    How You Can Help

A PTSA account has been set up with Give Something Back which allows you to purchase a box of paper online (10 reams) at the company’s lowest discount. This paper is the correct product that will not jam in the copy machines. Plus, it ships for free. Nice, right?
    • Go to Give Something Back
    • Log in on the upper right hand corner
      • Login: oaklandtptsa

    • Search …
      • GSBRCY8511 for paper ($36.26/carton)
      • HEWCF280X for HP 80X printer toner ($154.58/cartridge)
      • HEWCE505A for HP 05A printer toner ($76.99/cartridge)
    • Place your order. Pay for it with your credit card (no additional order information is required)
The system will NOT save your credit card information.

1 Carton = $1 to Alameda County Food Bank

As an added benefit, GSB donates one dollar for every carton to the Alameda County Food Bank, which helps a number of Tech families.

Another Option: Give Paper Directly to Teachers

Teachers and the school secretary are also happy to accept individual reams of 20 lb white and colored paper purchased elsewhere and brought or delivered to Tech.

    Multicultural Day Celebration & Events
    May 25 all-day
Did you know that Oakland Tech is ranked #3 as the most diverse public high school in the Bay Area? Well, get ready to be a part of Tech’s Multicultural Day Celebration on Thursday, May 25 following the rally day schedule.Multicultural Day celebrates the diversity at our school and brings you a glimpse of many different cultures and stories. Many teachers will use their class time to cover special topics. There will be a festival on the field at the end of the day.MultiCulturalFieldDay

What will Mutlicultural Field Day be like?

From 2:00 – 3:35 PM, all Tech community members will join us on the field for guest speakers, live music, dance performances, spoken word, along with fundraiser booths, and much more. Everyone is encouraged to come to school dressed in cultural apparel to show your pride, bring blankets to sit on and bring money if you plan on supporting fundraisers.

Want to have a fundraiser booth? Read below!

All Tech clubs, student government class officers and members of the associated student body to host a fundraiser booth during the event.

To host a booth, a representative needs to fill out & submit the google form and fill out the paper fundraiser form which can be found in the gray spinner rack outside the Treasurer’s office. Once the paper form has been completed, turn it into the Leadership Mailbox located in the attendance office.

All fundraiser participants are responsible for setting up during 12:30 – 1:10 PM (5th period) and for cleaning up. Be sure to bring your own table. The student government will not require a fundraiser fee, however we would gladly appreciate any amount of donation to us from the profits you made! And please note that fundraisers do not strictly have to be food sales. Some ideas for fundraisers are mexican bracelets, henna tattoo service, etc.

This event is organized by the student government. For questions or comments, please email one of our ASB officers.
