Transbay Series:  The reigning OAL and Transbay Champions, Tech’s Women’s Soccer Team and Tech’s Women’s Softball Team will defend their titles this week.  Congratulations to the teams and their coaches!

Honor Roll Assembly:  Don’t forget to submit the names of students who you are nominating for special honors to Ms. Page ASAP.  This Thursday, during 4th period,  we will hold an honor roll assembly to recognize those students who received academic as well as special honors this school year.  This assembly is by invitation only.

Gates:  For security reasons, all gates are to remain locked during the day. Please do not ask for the gates to be open on your personal behalf.  If you are going to have to leave campus during the school day, please park off campus.

Senior Mentors: Please tell Juniors that we are currently looking for Senior Mentors for next year.  Anyone who is interested is asked to speak with Mrs. Dargahi to let her know.

Silence the Violence:  Last Week members from Tech’s Computer Business Club, Shadow (Students Helping Advance Technology), became members of the Silence the Violence Committee (STVC).  STVC has made a commitment, for next year, to silence/minimize five forms of violence on our campus:  1) Thefts, 2) Abusive and Profane Language, 3) Peer to Peer and Student to Teacher Disrespect, 4) Disrespectful reactions to students of minority cultures within our school and 5) Fighting.

Jamba Juice:  Last week Mrs. Dargahi was the winner of Jamba Juice for the office staff after she put her business card in a drawing at their store in the Rockridge shopping center.  On Friday she spoke with the manager and she was told that Jamba Juice is willing to do a fund raiser for the Silence the Violence Committee, this Thursday.  Tomorrow, flyers will be available about the fundraiser.  Then on Thursday, 20% of the profit from those who purchase from them and show a flyer, will be given to Tech for the Silence the Violence Committee. The Tech Community is encouraged to buy a drink from the Rockridge Jamba Juice and to show them the flyer this Thursday, May 22.

Performing Arts: Last week the Drama classes performed creative and entertaining original work in an evening performance.  This week Opera Piccola takes the stage with Comedy Night on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and the Music Department is the focus of performance on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Will you be attending one or more of these outstanding efforts?

Financial Aid Workshop:  Please remind students that there is a financial aid workshop on Tuesday evening starting at 6:30 p.m.   They should let their parents know that childcare will be provided as well as refreshments.  Students are encouraged to attend with their families.

Out of the Office:  Ms. Ross Morrison will be not be here this week.
